Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Jujur’s lips shut.
Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were severe enough to cause bleeding."
Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told animal abuse charges them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James stated, "Jonny informed to me that the use of tape to close the mouth is acceptable and normal. He claims it is preferred to using a mute, which is harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the call abruptly.
